First off, I would like to wish everyone luck for Friday's results posting.

I have a question though-I thought my transcript could be sent through naviance, which I sent in October, but was not aware that UF does not accept transcripts sent online. I was not made aware of this until last week, and I mailed in my initial transcript as soon as I found out. Even though I self-reported my grades, will there be a delay in my decision date? If so, by how much? Will my application still count as one submitted by November 1?
Thanks!

I had to send in mid year grades two weeks ago because I’m a three year grad and they couldn’t make a decision until after they saw them. They told me I will probably find out on Feb 8th or very soon after.

I thought the deadline for transcripts for regular applicants was Dec. 1st or Jan. 1st…but maybe it was just SATs

My DD hit send on her application on November 1, and her school sent transcript on November 1 too (I know, I know, she was waiting for a grade to come in for a virtual school class she’d just finished). I saw her send the application, and the counselor confirmed that the transcripts were sent. However, UF has both down as having been received as of November 2. Anyone else have this problem? I’m hoping it won’t affect hearing Friday. She’s gotten all the e-mails, though.

Yeah that happened to me too! I just assumed that maybe I got my dates mixed up but I am pretty sure that I sent it on the first as well because, just like your daughter, I was waiting to hear back on my APES grade from over the summer. I have gotten all of the emails as well and I am praying I hear back on Friday.

Out of curiosity, does UF wait list? I think it was only acceptance / rejections. Anyways, if there isn’t a wait list, I’m not sure on how the delayed thing would work.

It probably doesn’t mean anything. Other schools to which she applied (Florida Gulf Coast) have things down as having been received WEEKS AND WEEKS after they actually were sent (Like they say they received her application deposit on October 26 and her actual application on December 1, which is impossible because they were sent electronically the same day). So, obviously, the date is just when some human there processed them. Still, it’s annoying.

Maybe they mean that they don’t accept something you e-mail yourself or something. My daughter’s school submitted hers electronically, and it was accepted. Her school ONLY submits transcripts to state schools electronically, and plenty of people from her school go to UF. I had no idea what naviance is, though, and it looks like it’s something only private schools use in Miami, so maybe that’s different.

I go to public school on the west coast…all of my other transcripts sent online at the same time were accepted by other colleges though…and something got messed up with my ACT report although I had no issues with other schools receiving my scores…gah so frustrating…hopefully it all works itself out
