Last Minutes SAT Questions Here!

So with less than 24 hours to go until the SATs tomorrow, I'm sure we're all getting kinda nervous.

I have a few last minute SAT questions from problem sets that I did today. It'd be great if everyone could start posting their questions here, so we can all help each other out :)

Here are mine:

[Having command of pathos, tragedy, as well as humor], George Eliot is considered to be a great English novelist.
(A) Having command of pathos, tragedy, as well as humor
(B) Having command of pathos, tragedy, and her humorous side
(C) By being in command of both pathos and tragedy and also humor
(D) With her command of pathos and tragedy and being humorous
(E) Because of her command of pathos, tragedy, and humor

I thought the answer was A, but it turned out to be E. Can anyone tell me why A is incorrect?

In A[those cities] B[in which] public transportation is adequate, fewer traffic problems occur and pedestrians C[are rarely] D[involved in] accidents.
E - no error

I picked A because it sounded awkward to be, but the correct answer was E, no error. Can someone tell me why the use of "those cities" is correct?

That's all I have for now - any help would be really appreciated! I'll try and help out too if you guys have any questions.

those 2 are definitely from the blue book because I remember doing them in the last month. For the 2nd one “those cities” is grammatically fine, hence “no error”

i suck at the writing so dont rely on me for an explanation…lol

Number 9 is E because A just sounds awkward, I believe there is a parrarelism error in A. E sums up the all three of the traits without any superfluous (direct hits ftw) words.

“I picked A because it sounded awkward to be, but the correct answer was E, no error. Can someone tell me why the use of “those cities” is correct?”

I guess you can turn the question around and ask, “why wouldn’t “those cities” be correct”?

A is incorrect because it contains a parallelism error. the “as well as humor” part breaks the parallelism.
