So, being summer and all, I'm sure many of you have been able to watch some good movies. What most recent movie has impacted you alot, made you laugh, made you cry, made you think? For me, it was Son of Rambow, a nice little independent film with two amazing British actors. It was just so uplifting and charming and made me smile at the beauty of youth and innocence. Definitely one of the most memorable films I have watched in a while (that and Gladiator, whose soundtrack by Hans Zimmer is just incredibly moving).

I’m not sure which one I watched last, but Sans toit ni loi, which is Vagabond in America, was really affecting, as was Premature, which is a 10 minutes film I saw on HBO about a teenage pregnancy. Sans toit ni loi is feature length and about a homeless sorta-nomadic woman.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly(2007). it’s in french(subtitled in english), but don’t let that put you off. As a guy, I rarely get in to “emotional movies” but I got in to this one.

Saw it on Rotten Tomotoes, gave it a watch, and it is hilarious; best movie I’ve seen this summer. If you have a sarcastic sense of humor you will love it (think The Office but politicians).

i saw the ugly truth on friday and i thouht it was HILARIOUS.
everyone in the theaters was laughing most of the time and it was almost a full house.

… was a great movie and it is amazing to think that it’s almost possible for batman to exist because he has no powers, he just uses technology. and it was interesting that he chose not to be a hero, making the right choice. 5/5

i just saw it last week (only came out this summer)

i’m not usually into war movies, but i agreed to go upon a friend’s request
it was a very powerful and emotional film, and the lead actor did a really great job… definitely recommended
