Last one, I swear! Well, maybe....

On the topic of majors, may I ask you what convinced you to go to economics? I was thinking of pursuing that major myself, but I talked to an econ teacher who said that jobs are limited to teaching, working for the government, or working for very huge companies that need economists. Also, he told me that economics is a very hard major as you will leave every test uncertain of how well you did; this is simply because many of the concepts are in theory and hypothetical, I'm told, and answering them will leave you with a certain degree of doubt.

But still, what convinced you to decide on going to economics? I'm debating whether I should take business economics or business administration, and would love an opinion.

To be honest, I have a natural business sense. Most colleges I am looking at applying to don't offer business undergraduate, so I thought economics would be the next best thing? I am pretty interested in the subject as I have been researching majors, so I guess thats why I picked it. But If i applied to Penn or NYU I would definitely apply to their business programs, not their liberal arts.

Oh, and if it helps my chances at Wharton at all(which I doubt it does), I worked at a stock broker's office, in his private firm for 3 years. I was interested in finance for a while, so I thought it might be useful, but I am framilar with many of the terms/systems/programs/markets etc used now. Maybe this will help?
