Last test before regular decisions... Sats(3rd time) or acts(1st time)?

Hi everyone! I know today can be an exciting day or a bummy day for everyone since it was e release of sat scores. :D unfortunately for me, I got my scores back and I did only 10 points better than my first score. Here is a rundown of my stats:

May 2012
Cr: 590
W: 620 (essay 10)
M: 620

October 2012
Cr: 590
W: 600 (essay 8 - understandable, the prompt was harder for me)
M: 650

My first mini goal to break was 1300 for math and critical reading... Then the 2000 benchmark. I really thought I did better this time around because everything was more streamlined and a bit easier for me.. Guess not :(

Anyways, I've decided to take one more test in December. Should I study extra hard this month and November and take the sats again? Or should I just take the acts since everyone says its easier? However, I've been preparing for the sats for most of my high school career so I'm absolutely clueless about the act test and its format. Any suggestions? My number one choice of college is bowdoin college so these scores mean a lot to me.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate any suggestions/feedback!! Also, sorry for any typos or weird grammar. It's a lot harder typing on the iPad! Hehe

Is there no way you could do both? If not I would try the ACT (make sure you prep!) because people often do better on one test than the other.

It’s just the money and time! I take many ap classes so I devote almost all of my time during the weekday and weekends on studying and keeping up with the workload. But, I’ll think about taking both! Thanks pinklemonade :D
