Did you have a good experience?

I went! There were quite a few ppl there, most were still undecided. I had an amazing time! Everything was spectacular, and I can't wait to go back in the fall.

ya, I was there. It truly was an amazing weekend. WashU seems to really put a substantial amount of money into this thing. A good portion of the people there were undecided, and I can see how WashU may get a good portion of its class from this weekend.

btw, there were around ~600-700 pre-froshes there.

My D and I were there too and we had a blast. I really like the way freshman/sophomore dorms are set up with a big grassy area in the centre (South 40). Students were doing mud-fight and water balloons for an hour and even my D joined in. A parent said his son told him that the students came out of the dorm and had a snow fight in the same area while staying up late studying for exams. The setting gives the first and second year students lots of opportunities to interact and a good feeling of community. The Ursula cafe has comfortable seatings and great food (fresh fruit crepes, fruit tarts, california rolls, salmon etc). Students were playing board and card games, talking, or just hanging out there. The kids have to work very hard to get good grades. But there is a lot to do on and off campus within walking distance to relax and let steam out without involving alcohol. My D has found a perfect fit for herself. I am so glad WashU sent us all the literature.

I’m glad you all had a good time. We went there with my D and she was so busy that we didn’t see her again until we took the shuttle to the airport, but at least we enjoyed being with our freshman S. If you have seen a newspaper’s photographer with a hat backward, that’s him, the “baby’ I missed so much since last August.
It’s a great school.

that weekend was AMAZING. It's kinda sad though because two really good friends i made are going to Northwestern and Duke instead though :( but i absolutely loved it!

btw, is anybody that's on collegeconfidential that i met there?

Which friends are you referring to?
