Does anyone know of (boarding) schools that would accept an application now, are co-ed, and have gender-neutral housing? I know not a lot of schools have neutral housing, though, so I’m mostly looking for a co-ed one that is mostly focused on academics but with art being more important than sports. I know this is a tall order, but yeah!
One way to do this is by going the the SSAT website, the apply to schools section, then filtering by schools that are still accepting applications. You can go from there and research the individual schools for gender neutral housing and arts!
Oakwood Friends in Poughkeepsie NY might be accepting applications. Sports are completely unimportant at that school, don’t know about gender neutral housing.

I think George School just closed applications today but you could ask if they’d accept a late app (and then you’d have to hustle!) It sounds like it might offer much of what you are looking for.
Canterbury also closed applications today, but I read somewhere they are taking late applications.
St. Andrew’s-Sewanee (sasweb.org) has rolling admission and, while they don’t have gender neutral housing, they do allow the student to choose their preferred housing. They also have a great track record with non-binary and LGBTQ students.
The Cambridge School of Weston ( csw.org ) has just introduced a gender inclusive dorm.
And they accept applications after January 15th, as space permits.
CSW encourages participation in the performing arts by offering an athletic credit exemption for participating in a mainstage production. There is no requirement that you play on an athletic team.
Walnut Hill School for the Arts (Natick, MA) has rolling admission and a gender-neutral dorm.
But Walnut Hill is more an arts school than an academic school.
Just mentioning it as an option! OP can decide for themselves. Kids go to all kinds of colleges from Walnut Hill, not just arts colleges, fwiw.

I don’t think Putney is accepting applications right now, but they do after March 10th (less FA available though). They have two gender neutral (or all gender) dorms and from what I’ve seen, they have really great LGBTQIA+ diversity in faculty, student leadership and within the student body in general. Even at open houses, a lot of the faculty introduced themselves with their pronouns which I thought was pretty cool.

CSW is wokeville central now. New administration took a VERY hard left turn - stay away unless that’s what you are looking for.

Anything that is done at the expense of academics IS a bad thing. CSW is on a 4 day academic curriculum and 1 day ‘social justice’ curriculum. So basically you get less chemistry and more politics. Science teachers are leaving - at least 3 in the last year alone.

We will have to agree to disagree on this.
I think life is about so much more than just academics. (Caveat: of course, academics are important, but lots of classes don’t meet more than 4 days a week, and the programs are rich and robust).
I think for the right kid, this would be a dreamy program!
Honestly, that sounds pretty awesome to me, although I can see why some wouldn’t like it. I’m a pretty political person, and the administration probably isn’t as left as me. This is honestly a point in that school’s favor.
@nonbinarywood I just went on their website too and saw that list of courses they offer from different perspectives (part of the 80 courses you must choose 10 from). HOLY COW! (in a good way!). I want to be a kid again and go back and take all these classes! I am pretty sure my DD3 would have loved the curriculum here – CSW just was not on our radar I think because DD3 is pretty sporty/classic vibe, so we didn’t really go out of our way to seek out “progressive” options. But if this is what “progressive options” are, well sign me up. :). (But also agree: not for everyone.)
Agree - it really is about fit. I just don’t see how as a society we would fight for social justice by learning less math 
because this is what it boils down to at CSW.
I hope the new administration finds the right balance.
