On December 31st, I logged onto Common App and submitted my UMiami application that night. I entered my credit card info, paid the $70, and clicked submit. Now today, January 4th, 3 days after the deadline, I get an email from the Common App website telling me there is an application (UMiami) I have paid for but not submitted. It told me to log on and submit it and “If the deadline for the school has passed, and you are not able to submit the application, you should contact the school directly”… I just tried, and I was able to submit it just now, as of January 4th, and I even got an email to confirm that my application was successfully sent. It turns out the only thing they were missing was my signature at the bottom of the page going over rules and whatnot, I’m not sure why I wasn’t aware of this while submitting. So what should I do? Do I still call/contact the school? Or assume it is good to go?
Contact the school just to be safe.
Definitely contact the school
