Late Course Selection Advice for HS Junior

Hey everyone,

I transferred from an IB school to a public school mid-semester due to financial losses. The public school is allowing me to join possibly three AP classes based on what I was taking at my previous school. I have the option to take AP Language and Composition, AP Environmental Science and AP Psychology. I’m not too sure if I should take either two or all three since I’m not too familiar with AP classes. I know AP Enviro and AP Psych are looked at as “soft-courses” but these are my only options. I will also be balancing some of the same extracurriculars along with leadership roles. I’m looking into somewhat selective colleges.

If you were managing your IB course load well, I think you should be able to handle all three. However, if you decide to only go with two, I’d pick AP Lang and whatever you think will be more relevant to your potential major.
