Hi, my name is Steve Tu and I am a Questbridge finalist.
I was wondering if I send all of my necessary financial records like the 2012 tax returns and SAT and ACT scores to the schools that I rank tomorrow on October 31, 2013, would they be late since the deadline is on Nov. 4? Thanks in advance.

I have the same question. I mean, everything will be sent electronically or by fax, so it should arrive within hours. Still, I’m not positive.

You will be fine even if you send it online or via fax on the 4th. @ steve1316, if by ‘send’ you mean snail mail, do get those envelopes out ASAP! Although QB says Nov 4 is a ‘receive by’ date, not a postmark date, colleges will use reasonable judgment if your materials are held up in the mail and are a day or two late. Esp with CA glitches this year, there seems to be a lot more lenience all around. But do make sure you submit on time on your end, that’s all you can do.

Well, the earliest I can send them by mail is on Nov. 1. Don’t have a fax and can’t do it online as the colleges require me to send them by mail or fax. The colleges that I ranked were:

Stanford University
Brown University
University of Chicago
University of Southern California
Yale University
University of Pennsylvania

I guess I’m going to be pretty late, huh? :(

You can send them by an online fax service like efax or myfax. It does have a cost but it will get it there on time.

Would submitting my CommonApp on Nov. 1 be late for the Nov. 4 deadline?

Does your guidance counselor have access to a fax machine? How about at the library? Don’t be afraid to ask for help!

I called Stanford and they said that your application will still be considered complete even if your financial documents don’t arrive by November 4th. I am not sure about the other schools but I would call to check.

I’m on the same problem with the financial information. I sent my stuff via the post office on Oct. 30th and they didn’t move until today >.< God…

Thanks @nerd16 for letting us know that about Stanford. A bit of time to relax. On the other hand, guys there are free online fax services!! I just discovered that today. If by Nov 4th your financial materials are not received by your rank colleges sign up for a free trial of efax (or other online fax services with a free trial) and fax your stuff to the colleges! It can be a life saver!

Anyhow, good luck to all!
