Late Housing Application HELP

Help! Out of my own stupidity I turned in my housing application way too late! I turn it in 3 days ago. I received an email saying I was put on the wait list. What are the chances that I actually receive a dorm contract?? (and yes i know it’ll probably be a crappy one) And when would I find out if I do have a chance?

Call UF Housing and ask: Phone:(352) 392-2171
Most likely, if they can fit you in, it will be in a temporary triple.

Otherwise, start looking for alternatives. For example, trimark properties has several “dorms” near campus, but these may all be filled.

Further from campus, you’ll fine multiple tenant apartments, where each roommate signs their own lease, and they will help match up room mates. Buses are free (covered by your student fees).

Here is one example:

Good Luck!

Are you on the UF families of 2020 FB page? There is a guy from housing who frequently answers questions. My gut instinct is that you are out of luck. I saw another person post very upset at not getting housing (also a late housing app). But I could be wrong.

The good news is that there seems to be a decent amount of off-campus apartments still available.

Wishing you luck with this!
