How bad will my housing number be if I sent in my housing form in a few days?

Even though I'm probably going to FSU, UF is my second choice. I've yet to send in the $25 housing fee, so I'm wondering, how awful will my number be if I sent it in soon?

Wow you haven’t sent it in. Well I’m not sure, but it seems to be kind of late now. I mean decisions come out this Friday, and I’m sure people will start getting their housing contracts a few days later and paying for their housing. I mean you can still send it in, but the number you will be will probably be bad. I’m so sorry to have to tell you this, but I mean I’m not entirely sure. You can call UF tommorow, and just make sure that you still have atleast a chance to get housing:)
Sorry if I couldn’t help enough. I wish you luck though!

it’s not really that late, last year I didn’t send mine in until after I had found out if I was accepted and I had decided to go to UF, which I think wasn’t till around May 1st. Even waiting until then, I still got into the dorm building that I wanted, and although it was a late app triple, when I registered for a room change, I got it almost the very day they started allowing room transfers. I was even able to stay on my same floor, I moved into a double just right down the hall. So, if you do want housing on campus, I really would recommend you send it in.

Glasswright thank you for that info I was worried about this issue too because I payed my deposit about 2 weeks after the deadline and my friends all said I would get a bad dorm because of that…I was freaking out! Once again thanks!

yeah, to be honest, I feel like they just have that fee so they can make money off of all the people who pay and don’t get in. I just think it is incredibly stupid to pay money for housing at a college when you have no idea if you’ll be accepted or not.

dont sweat it. youll find a good place if anything there is room transfers. more will start to open up during the summer break

i still havent sent my housing form in bc i didnt want to pay the fee just to get rejected…if it was refundable, thatd be a different story, but the fact that its nonrefudable and i dont even know if going to uf is an option for me, i feel like its a money-making scheme and im not buying into it unless i get in and feel like its a legitamate option ya know?
