I applied to Carnegie Mellon as ED and Univ. of Michigan as EA. I successfully sent my application, SAT score, transcript, writing supplement, and recommendation letters from my english teacher and chemistry teacher to both colleges. However, I did not send my recommendation letter from my counselor yet due to a personal reason. I am certain that she will complete my recommendation letter by Monday, November 3rd, which is 2 days later than the deadline for everything.
Can colleges receive and read my 3rd recommendation letter 2~4 days after the deadline?

same question here. Yesterday was the deadline of ED. And one of recommendation letter (from my English teacher) hasn’t been submitted yet. I am very worried about that.

Yes, Colleges are much more lenient on recommenders cause they know they’re busy people, I was watching college admissions videos on youtube and the question came up and thats what they said. I would call just to be sure, the admissions people are extremely nice lol

No worries. Colleges are used to letters/etc. being a bit late. And the recommenders (especially GCs) know it, too. They get so many applications, it isn’t like they can read them all the first day anyway! They start with those that are complete, and move on as materials come in. I would make sure they get them in over the next week if possible, though.
