<p>Well, I finished most of my app and at rugby training my coach confirmed that he had already send my optional rec in- 2 weeks ago. So far soo good. Then I went to school ... It seems my teachers and principal weren't too sure what to do with the GPA questions and sortta leaved it while asking some collegues at other schools. I gave it to them at the start of October. Despite my persistence the GC report was not finished until today. They filled out everything except for the GPA areas and sortta decided to leave it at that. After a lengthy debate my rec will be mailing tommorrow morning. I told them to write NA and explain it separately how our grading scale works. It will be postmarked Nov 2nd. The school has offered and will be using the fastest available means of mail.</p>
<p>My question is my recs will postmarked Nov 2nd and will Princeton still accept that? Will there be any penalty for me?</p>
<p>Now I'm really getting worried.</p>

<p>i belive if a teacher sends a late rec, it doesnt matter so much, just that your students application shouldn't be late. dont worry mate.</p>
<p>Ask your school to fax the rec...if princeton will accept it faxed.</p>
<p>don't worry. if you ask them they saay the november 1st deadline is mnore of a suggestion and they usually accept apps up to 2-3 days later.</p>
<p>For anyone who doesn't know, shrek is Class of 2009. That is still true, right shrek?</p>
<p>yeah, the deadline for teachers' recs is not as strict as that for the application</p>
<p>yea i am in the class of 09. got fall break this week, not much to do haha just drifted back on</p>
<p>Yeah, for any part of the form, it doesn't really matter when you send it as long as it's AROUND Nov. 1. You see, they get maybe 3000 applications, then the guidance counselor recs, 2 teacher recs for each... that's AT LEAST 12,000 pieces of mail to open, not to mention some supplementary items or forgotten items sent in. So, do you REALLY think they're checking the post marks for ALL of those apps? HELL NO! They're trying to get through all of them on time.</p>
<p>Its official... All my recs have been mailed on November 3d :(</p>
