I won't be able to ask my counselor to send my transcript until I get back to school on January 3rd. The same goes for the letters of recommendations. A couple of my colleges have January 1st deadlines. Has anyone experienced any grace periods with these elements of the applications or will colleges just not consider my application at all?

I think you can find the answer here.

To sum it up: It’s your job to get in your part on time. Teacher/Counselor’s have it more lenient as they may have to write multiple reccs, etc. As long as they don’t submit it horrendously late, I think you’ll be fine. I know, I’ve been waiting for my recommendations to be done too. =] Hang on in there.

Thank you so much! :)

If you were in a position where you had to send your transcripts yourself, how would you do that in the online app?

Check the college website for a physical address to send materials.

thank you!
