"Late" transfer admission?

I'm right now at my third quarter in a community college. My major is landscape architecture and I didnt realize that Purdue has a Fall 2011 transfer deadline of July 1st(surprisingly!) until like last month. Since its program is Top 3 of the nation, I immediately did all the application and stuff which the committee started reviewing last week. Moreover, the minimum credits taken are just 24 units, meaning that I can get out of my current cc(so sick of it already!) 1 year sooner than expected!

Yea I know my application is not literally "late" for the school. But does it hurt my chance of getting into the school? Doesn't applying in June sound to rushed?

The cut-off date is the cut-off date. Don’t worry about this one. Lots of people will be turning their paperwork in just before midnight on that day because they have been waiting for grades and letters of recommendation.
