Latest I can take the ACT and get Bright Futures?

I don't want to take it until Feb. but I don't know if that's too late?

BTW.. does everyone have to fill out the FAFSA app?

Are you a senior?

Why have you taken so long to take the ACT?

It seems very late to be taking the ACT even for admissions purposes (assuming you are a senior). Trouble with taking it so late is you have no wiggle room for a retake if you want a second chance at doing better. From a brief look at the bright futures website early applicants will know by march if they qualify for it but it *looks *like you could still qualify for Bright futures based on the feb date. Double check this with someone experienced in bright futures, which I am not. It is a Florida specific award so there may not be many people here who are as knowledgeable about it as there are about federal aid.

FAFSA is for applying for financial aid. If you don’t want financial aid then you don’t have to file it. If you do want financial aid (including any federal loans) then you do need to file FAFSA. Some schools also require FAFSA for you to be eligible for any merit aid so you would need to check with your schools for that.
