latest on transfer admission?

TMT90, a 3.75 will be more than enough to get into LA.
Yikes, I have a 3.5 and most people in the forum said I should be fine.
I hope they are right…

What would be the minimum gpa to basically ensure admissions into liberal arts? After this semester I might have a total gpa of 3.67 :frowning: thats if I get a C in calculus, but if I keep my B then I should have a 3.77 or something. Would they see the decrease as a reason to reject me, even though it would be high?

also, joining the fb group now :stuck_out_tongue: i’m Tina.

I think you should be fine with a 3.67, based on the past few years and the stats of those who I know were admitted. Don’t get too stressed by it all.

mcalvelloxx: Camillesays, I’m assuming you have less than 30 hours?

I applied to the Business school and they want to see my calculus grade. I’m in Calculus 1 right now

I hope I have a descent shot… 3.49 GPA, 80+ hours, 2 good and relevant letters of reccomendation (from experts in both my 1st choice and second choice majors, one a UT alumni/ Pharmacy program preceptor)
1st choice Natural Science, 2nd Choice Liberal Arts

GPA sucks, but It’s mostly the result of one crumby semester where I got a C in PreCalc and a C in Gen Chem 2, I retook both courses. Strong trend upward in the most recent year.

80+ hours might hurt you because to graduate from UT you need at least 60 hours taken there. And you can’t get accepted into Liberal Arts because you can’t transfer with more than 60 hours.

They do not reject people for having more than 60 hours. They just might not give you credit for all the hours.

Incititas, you will probably get accepted, I got accepted to school of natural sci with about a 3.3 last year.

Oops my misunderstanding

They might give you credit for your 80 hours but you would still have to have 60 hours of credit in-residence there at UT, so you would have 140 hours when you graduated.

Yeah, that’s what I have been told.
I can transfer and get credit for as many hours of that mass of 80 I like (And that are transferable) But I still need to have at least X hours from UT to be eligible for the degrees.

Which is cool, because if admitted, I hope to apply most of these credits toward a duel degree, so it’s not all for waste.
