Latin Student and Georgetown

Here's student who is very interested in Politics and international relations. He studied Latin in HS, and wants to go to GTown.

He's not interested in learning another language, so SFS is out, and doesn't really want to study business. Interested in history, policy, things like that. Any suggestions of where he'd fit in?

Cheers,

Tweldon

Study in the College--Political Economy, Political Science, Classics. Seems to fit what you want.

Yes,

Looking closer, I see it is a good fit. Thanks for the input.

Too bad they don't speak Latin anymore in LATIN America! ;-)

Cheers, Tweldon

I would just add that besides anything politically related being top-notch at Georgetown, the Classics is also particuarly good here.

Even among affiliated faculty, it's really quite impressive. I'm taking a Medieval Ethics course right now and my professor has personally dug up and translated most of the stuff we read on his own from the original Latin, all of which is probably not taught at the undergraduate level anywhere. He'll have a Latin manuscript in class and literally read it as if it were written in English. The Provost of the University is a Classicist also for what its worth.
