Law School in France

Hello all,

I am currently obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in political science in an American university. However, as an EU citizen, I have plans to move back to Europe after school and continue my studies there. I want to study Law in France, however I am aware that the system over there is different from the one here. Does anyone know if it is possible to get an LLM degree in France with a “non-law” bachelor’s degree from the US (since no such thing exists here)?

Thank you in advance,

Chelsea

Why don’t you google this in French? I am sure the information is available and easy to access. As I understand it, law is an undergraduate degree in France.

All classes will be in French. The first level lasts three years (you may get transfer credit for classes in English, political science, and economics). It’s tuition free and open to all. Failure rate is about 60% the first year, and at least 30% for year 2&3. After that you choose a specialization and get a Master’s.

You can also apply to competitive French/us law programs, or ‘civil and common law’ Programs Acceptance rates are about 10% or less.
