I’m planning to attend law school after attending Sacramento State. Is majoring in Government (Political Science) beneficial? Or are there other majors to prepare me for law?
Also, is there any classes y’all recommend to prepare me for a law career?
Taking a Philosophy class will be very beneficial, I have found that it has helped me a lot with my law classes! It teaches you numerous concepts that you can apply to law.
People can go to law school with any undergrad major. IMO one should work to develop strong reading, writing, and reasoning skills as an undergrad to be best prepared for law school. .
Law school admissions is mainly based on GPA and LSAT. Any undergraduate major is fine, although some majors may attract stronger or weaker students, have more or less grade inflation, and/or have course work that practices the skills tested on the LSAT. Some specific courses (that can be taken by students of any major) may be looked at favorably.

Note that the LSAT has a logic puzzle question, which may have something to do with the tendency of math and philosophy majors to do well relative to those of other majors.
