Hi everyone. My interests lie within electrochemical engineering & materials science.

I just got an offer from the LBNL SULI program. (I have 10 days to accept the offer.)

However, I am also interested in some of the projects at the NASA labs. My end goal would be to pursue my PhD degree .
So right now I am trying to decide whether I should contact NASA to haste the application process or accept the LBNL one. Which summer programs would increase my chances for a more prestigious graduate school?

This doesn’t matter, as long as the experiences are roughly similar (work with a mentor, do research, maybe do a presentation at the end). Pick whichever one is a better fit and which one you want to do more.

If you want to go to the NASA program, contact them (by phone) and tell them you have an offer from another summer program but you’d really like to attend the NASA program and want to know when you will hear back from them. If they tell you a date too far in the future ask if there’s any way you can find out ahead of time so you can make the decision.

If you want to go to the LBNL program, just accept and throw yourself a party.
