I am going to apply to Lawrenceville next year and REALLY REALLY want to get in, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on the following:
-The interview (plus how not to be nervous or have an awkward interview)
-The essay
-The application process
-The SSAT (I’ve taken once already, will take it again)
What do you think it will take for me to get in? I play just one sport, Field Hockey, which I am average at and have been playing the piano for a while.
My EC aren’t that great, but I do a lot of community service.
Thanks!!!
What about Lville really excites you?
I like the environment of the school and the strive for academic achievement.
^That can describe basically every boarding school.
I’m not usually the grammar police, but strive is a verb. To enhance your application, correct use of words will be helpful.
If you are really attracted to Lawrenceville, you would need to articulate how that school will be able to help you achieve your goals in a way that another school cannot.
Thank you for the advice @skieurope I should definitely fix that grammar issue and I will think about how to articulate what I like most about the school.
