Laziness + PSAT

I've come here to ask for advice on how to most quickly and effectively brush up on my SAT skills.

I took the SAT in March and got a decent score (above 2300). The problem is, in the half year that's passed, I've forgotten most of my so-called SAT skills. Vocabulary? Nonexistent. Grammar rules? Banished out of my mind! Math equations? What equations? I'm also extremely lazy and haven't done any preparation after having taken the "real" SAT.

Even worse, I come from California, where cutoffs are notoriously high. So my question is, how should I go about studying until the big day in October? And isn't it kind of ironic that the PSAT has so much at stake, though it is, at it's root, only a "practice SAT?" Those darned scholarships.

Anyway, thanks for any advice and information!

i might not be understanding…how high of a score do you need??? a 2300+ is awesome! did you mean to say 2300 on the PSAT?

I guess the question is: what schools are you planning to apply to that would have a cut-off higher than 2300 or higher? I think the typical average for the premier schools in the country are around 2100-2150. Also, the SAT is not a deal-maker or breaker necessarily. I’d assess your overall “package”: GPA, extracurriculars, ACT score, etc and decide if it’s really worth the effort to try to tack on an extra couple of points that might not really do anything for you anyway.
