Lazy bums!

Okay, for those of you who live in jeans and tshirts, my problem is this: I have $500 to spend on clothes for college. What exactly should I buy? I'm thinking like 6 jeans and maybe 15-20 shirts?

do you really need that many shirts?

do you have a suit? If not, you should probably get one just in case you need to go for interviews/semi-formals.

if not a suit, at least a decent pair of pants- black, khaki...gotta start thinking like a grownup

3 jeans, 8-10 shirts (you should have some already...), khakis, sweaters, sweatshirts, dress clothes, workout clothes, party clothes (i.e. button down shirts/polos)...you pretty much need it all in college.

Is the $500 for all year or just for fall? Where you are going will also make a big difference because weather is different.

I usually just do one big shopping trip in august, and one smaller one in december for hoodies, long sleeve shirts, etc.

I'm in south GA so its always either mild or hot....so "winter" clothes arent a neccessity.

A suit.
Nice shoes, which really, really fit you.
Warmer stuff for evenings. (a jacket, maybe..)

Buy those sweatshirts you can flip inside out, it's like having two shirts for the price of one!

Also underwear. Lots of underwear. Same with socks. The worst feeling you can have is wearing dirty underwear/socks.

I wouldn't buy all t-shirts and jeans. Like others have said, you also need nice clothes. Get a variety of clothing. You also need to figure in shoes and under-garnments.

Are you male or female?
