LBS/LSE/ MAYBE oxbridge Masters Admission for a canadian

im a student at McGill University in Canada. I have 0 idea as to how mcgill is viewed in the UK so...here i am.

I would like to attend LBS or LSE's masters in finance program after college and if any chance at all, i would love to try out for oxbridge's said or judge schools.

well... honestly my academic record in university is..quite abysmal.
I am an economics major with minors in finance and mathematics.
I was a political science major in first year but transferred out after 1 year of hell.

1st year gpa: 1.7ish ( i had personal crises and put 0 emphasis on my education which was...possibly the worst decision i have made in my entire life.....)
2nd year gpa: 3.7~ ish

if i keep up my 2nd year gpa or do better, i will be graduating with 3.2~3.3 gpa which MIGHT let me get the cutoff for the 2:1 in UK standards in LSE standards. (LSE: 3.3 = 2:1)

Although i have no research experience i will have completed several internships by the time i graduate.

Currently, i am an intern at one of Korean conglomerates doing HR research/bench marking.
I will be interning at PwC consulting from jan-march next year and at another korean conglomerate's finance department from april~june. I hope to score another internship for july~august (specifically IB to show my interest in finance) before i go back to school for my "4th year". (due to a semester of leave of absence for the internships and course failures in 1st year, it will take me 5 years to graduate :( )

I have taken the GRE and scored Quant: 760, & verbal: 680.

I do not know what the UK universities seek in its candidates other than perhaps GPA and personal statement/intent of study. please guide me through what i can do in order to boost my chances at any of the 4 aforementioned universities.

Contact the schools you are interested in, and find out what their requirements are for admission into the programs you are interested in. Go to their websites and get the information.

We’ve mostly been talking about undergraduate admissions here, so we may not at the moment have a lot of information about (post)graduate school. From my limited experience looking at very different postgraduate programs from the ones you are interested in, I’m pretty sure GPA, in and of itself, will not be important. And I don’t think that the GRE is relevant at all. The better postgraduate programs seem to only be available to people who received their Bachelor’s degrees “with Honors”. But maybe this information is completely different for the programs you are talking about.

The best way would be for you to email the universities. I had and they replied very nicely. Also don’t forget to mention why you messed up your first year. Good Luck!
