LC vs. RH for Public Relations?

I'm a transfer applicant, currently a freshman at St. John's, applying to FCRH as a Communications & Media Studies major, hoping to work in Public Relations. Which campus provides a better program for PR/communications?

I mainly applied to RH because I would have a better shot at getting on campus housing, but a friend of mine managed to transfer from SJU to LC with housing last semester so I know it's possible.

I dont know specifics about communications at LC. I do know communications/journalism at RH is awesome, with phenomenal internships in media and public relations in Manhattan for those who perform and have “the right stuff” for that kind of career. Many Fordham people at GMA/ABC, NBC, FoxNews. Faculty at RH are supportive and make meaningful mentors. RH overall is a wonderful experience with the campus, athletics (can you transform from a johnnie to a Ram?) fabulous dorm choices/apts on campus and just a strong student body. We welcome you if you get in.

You answered your own question: RH is probably better for you because you’re more likely to be offered housing.

The communications faculties at LC and RH are equally reputable. Employers wouldn’t distinguish between them. Choose your campus (as you have) for characteristics other than departmental reputation.

I was accepted to Fordham last year as a HS senior, but opted to go to St. John’s because of financial aid. I would rather be at Lincoln Center, but first and foremost I just want to be at Fordham and live in a dorm so if that means I have to go to Rose Hill than so be it
