Learning mandarin?

Hi,
I've started to learn Chinese Mandarin online ( http://www.chinese-tools.com/learn/chinese ) in order to be international Student in China.
Any advice? Good China universities or colleges?
Thanks.

lol.......

You'll end up with a horrible accent that will just perplex the natives.

Learn it from a Chinese person fluent in the language. Try to find someone that came from where you wanted to study at.

dont listen to them. study it. I mean, you will have horrible accent, but you can work on it once you in china. Good idea thou on finding some Chinese. My gf is Chinese, so I have a of practice.

"Good China universities or colleges?"

university of peking is ranked first, followed closely by qinghua university (dunno the eng.). both are in beijing.

i think it would be easier if you started learning chinese in a class. a teacher can guide you in accents and common phrases they use. i have nothing against online learning but sometimes when you learn a language, you need to learn their culture too. its hard to explain some chinese things or equivalents or translations in english because they're really different.

for learning chinese language or for being a full-time international student?

if you want to learn chinese language, then beijing normal university (BNU) and east china normal university (ECNU) are good options.

for full-time international students, the best choices would be Peking University and Tsinghua University, followed by Fudan University, Nanjing University, and a few others.

hi, hamihaha.
I think the best and most conficient way of language learnig is studing or working in the country where the langugage is spoken.
Or maybe make chinese friends in internet will improve your level.
