I won't miss CC, but surely I'm so thankful for the chance I am given in there. Because I have an unusual story in there.

I took the same biology class for three times! (extremely sucks)The first time I got a W, then the second time I got a D. When you take a class for the third time, you need to write a reason

lol some of you guys are ungrateful. i mean obviously your CC isn't a real person, but you should still appreciate it and be very thankful for the opportunities it offered you. i mean what else would you people have done? obviously you prefered attending a CC verses working/attending a 4 year you weren't satisfied with/etc....so cheer up and don't look at the experience as if the devil is releasing you from his prison in hell.

just the fact we (americans) get second chances in our college academics is beautiful.

i don't mean to scorn anybody or go off sounding *****y....just my friendly view on things...

Amen to that! I dropped out of high school when I was 16, and now I'm 27 and applying to schools like Cornell and UChicago out of my CC. And the amazing thing is, I think actually have a shot!

what is the story behind needing to take it three times shirley? I love to hear motivational stories.

I didn't work hard for the first time. Therefore, I dropped it. It's quite usual.
When I took it again, it was a bad timing. I was so depressed, cuz I had a very big argument w/ my family. It lasted couple of months. Also, I was working at that time. Besides failing biology, I failed an easy philosophy class also. I got 1.2 somthing for that semester. After that semester, I spent almost all the money I earned on traveling in summer.

I feel better afterward and my grade is getting better.

Nothing motivational. I didn't wrote I had family problem in my personal statement. It seems so cliched.

I surely will miss my CCCs, Santa Monica / Irvine Valley / Saddleback College. Actually, you can scratch out Saddleback because that place just disgusts me! Honestly, attending Saddleback was the worst experience I have ever had to faced for personal reasons. Santa Monica College on the other hand is completely amazing. I am totally satisfied with my decision of coming here to finish off my lower reqs. I enjoy studying in my library because it is so new / modern. Moreover, SMC had given me a second chance to redeem myself and prove to myself and others that I am, in fact, not a failure. Based on what acceptances I have thus far, my I have proved to everyone that I am capable of doing anything, as long as I set my heart on it. If I ever do get into UCLA, it would be a sign that I have done something great in my life. I hope that dream comes true...
