Leaving your senior year.

Hey guys,

I want to do a study abroad next school year (and I'm a junior).
More an an intensive study or a language, but I also want to experience a different culture and expand my horizons. Money is no problem and my parents have agreed (as long as I pick a country good enough in their opinion)
Frankly my high school sucks since I go to a public school, bu I'm not sure how beneficial this will be for me. I'll be unable to take any AP classes and I stand a really large chance at being valedictorian and president of many clubs next year. I also don't want to end my involvement in sports.
But it's calling me to go abroad.

Do you think it will outweigh the bad?
And more importantly, how would it compare with college admissions?

Why not just take a gap year after highschool? You can do the same things...

Take a gap year and stay in HS for your senior year, IMO

I did think about that, but I really don't want to fall behind and enter with a separate class.

Could you possibly just spend the summer in between your Senior year at HS and Freshmen at college in the other country? Not quite the same experience, but...
Or you could Study Abroad once in college?
