Legacy for graduate admissions?

I'm hoping some of your can help me out here as I'm unfamiliar with the school's policy towards graduate school admissions. My father got his PhD from the University of Chicago in the late 60's. Would this be a factor the adcoms would take into consideration for my admissions to Chicago law school? I'm going to be a junior at Michigan and haven't taken the LSAT yet, so this really is a couple years down the road. Also, does anyone know the average LSAT score for accepted students? thanks very much!

It may have a slight effect, but one had better be an outstanding student if one wishes to attend UChicago law school.

It will have NO effect. Trust me. IF your father had gone to the law school, and then on to fame, say as a supreme court justice, it might matter a bit. Short of that, no.
