Does anyone here have a definitive list of Student/Employee legacy scholarships? Or should we start writing them down in this thread?

I think this is something to check on the colleges you are interested in. Things like this tend to change. For example, I know University of Hartford used to give an automatic scholarship (maybe $1000) to any accepted child of an alum. However, I’m not sure they still do that.

If a student is the child of an employee, they should see if the college participates in the tuition exchange program, or has tuition breaks at that school for current employees. Also, important to check how long the parent must be employed to be eligible for these benefits. And for tuition exchange, there is a deadline and I believe that has passed for the 2014-2015 school year…the application for tuition exchange!

I know of at least one NESCAC school that in the past provided a scholarship for the children of any employee that was equal to one half of that school’s current tuition; I’m pretty sure that policy is still in place. That’s a nice chunk of change.
