Legacy status vs children of university employees?

Which has the greater advantage? Btw, by university employees I am talking about not quite a faculty member, but a scientific researcher at the university

I think any connection to a university would get some consideration (more experienced posters, correct me if I’m wrong), but I’m not sure exactly how much value one would be over the other.

Have the employee speak with human relations or their union representative. All we can do is speculate.

I don’t think there is one answer that can possibly cover every school and every situation.

I think a lot would depend on how big a donor the legacy parent or grandparent is.
