I think that it would be helpful for future CC users to know what schools call on M9 (or earlier) to soften the blow of an imminent rejection/wait-list. Does anyone have confirmed contact with an AO about this? I haven’t heard of special early notification of acceptance, but this might also be useful. So far, I have heard of:
I would caution against making such a list. Some schools have an overarching policy about early notification of legacy/sibling wait listing, but sometimes whether or not the call is made depends on specific circumstances, so a family where both parents are active alumni might receive a call when a family whose only legacy connection is a long-gone grandparent might not. Trying to read the tea leaves a day or two in advance just ramps up everyone’s anxiety.
I agree with @Sue22 as well. So as not to post inaccurate information and/or cause unnecessary agitation to future applicants and their parents, I am closing this thread.
