legacy

does that affect admissions at all? i have a double legacy (both my parents went and my mom was the first woman to graduate the engineering school). im pretty average. i know some professors and what not. i probably wont get in but i was just wondering if that'll help at all.

Don't know any of your stats but I have a feeling that being a double legacy can help you..that is, IF you're interested in attending Lehigh.

i have a 3.4 GPA
i didn't do very well on my SATs
i am a founding member of one of the biggest jewish community service groups in nj
i competed on a freestyle ski team for a long time and went to USSA regionals
i volunteered for a disabled skiing program
i'm a freestyle ski coach now
i was on the debate team
im in science league
and year book
and im taking AP bio and AP gov/pol

honestly...in my personal opinion i think if you're a decent student legacies can prove to be very useful...not speaking from experience but have have seen many cases at many different schools where students have benefited from having parental alum. I don't know about lehigh, but it couldnt hurt, just be aware they will take the entire admissions process very seriously
