Legacy?

I was wondering to what extent does Stanford take into account being part of a legacy. Is it the same as Harvard or it really doesn't give much importance. I am definitely applying to Stanford and my dad is a Stanford PhD alumni in Production/Industrial Engineering and I want to major in Political Sciences. I think I do have the stats to get in (taking SAT I in December 2 test date, 42 predicted score on my International Baccalaureates, top 2% class rank, fluent in English, French, Portuguese and almost in Hebrew and Spanish etc.)

To what extent will legacy count?

thanks a lot! By the way, would it be pushing it that I can get financial aid/more financial aid being part of a legacy even though I am international?
