<p>apparently it's actually important at carleton. alumni giving rate is one of their strongest points, so alumni relations is very important. on the common data set it is listed under "important" along with test scores, essay, recs, ec's, talents, personality/character"</p>
<p>the "very important" are transcript, rank, gpa</p>
<p>the "considered" and "not considered" are just interview and demographic stuff.</p>
<p>so yeah, it'll definitely help.</p>
