Thanks. She chose the major of Accounting.
D was Accepted to IBE! So proud of her. No mention of merit, so unfortunately, thatās a stretch.
Anyone have stats on amount of applicants and acceptance rates?
per year
Accepted for accounting! 1560/97.7WGPA/Average ECs/Good essays. Financial aid will likely not be enough, but happy with the acceptance.
Are your parents ok with taking out loans for you? Thatās $140k, and you can take out $27k over the 4 years. The rest would be parent loans. Really a discussion with your parents.
This gives some info on post grad job placement and for CSB as well as far as average starting salary.

My daughter was accepted and they gave her $12K a year.
Does anyone know if we can do a self tour on campus?
Yes!
The Office of Admissions has suspended all formal campus visits and events for prospective students; however, prospective students are welcome to utilize our tour app or campus maps for a self-guided campus tour.
Great thx!
$140,000 in student loans is too much money to borrow for any school. The payments are over $1,000/mo, which is a huge bite out of any salary. The financial recommendation is a payment that is less than 10% of the monthly gross income. The bigger issue is that many parents qualify for the first year, maybe the second, and then are in a situation where they donāt qualify for any more loans. That essentially leaves a student with $70,000 of loans and no degree.
My daughter got into the business school!
Iām not overly surprised since she has the stats and is a double legacy (me and my dad).
They gave NO merit and we donāt qualify for need based FA.
She received merit at every other school (ranging from $15k - $40k a year)
As much as I love Lehigh, I donāt think ANY undergrad degree is worth over $300k
She is disappointed because she really likes it there too.
we have a meeting with a financial aid counselor today and Iām hoping we can qualify for at least another 5-10k considering the 20k salary reduction my family will experience this year due to COVID and having another child in college next fallā¦also it is my top choice and i would commit right now if I could and hopefully she can help us. if you have any tips on what i should mention to her please lmk
Could you report back to this thread on if you felt the meeting went well? Iām looking at similar situation of 60k income decrease due to Covid and I want to know if a meeting with the counselor is the best way to proceed
Do you think Lehigh would add some more financial aid if I compared offers with peer schools? Iām not too knowledgeable on financial aid, but would that be a decent method to appeal, besides discussing changes to my familyās financial situation?
Its actually pretty common for people to try and increase their award amt by comparing offers with other schools
it doesnt always work but worth a shot and def happens sometimes
Alright thanks. Are appeals meant to be written, or can I call to discuss the situation? Sorry for my ignorance.
Yes we did it in the fall. Stop at the main entrance and fill out a card indicating you were there.
personally my friend had her college counselor call and talk to the office on her behalf (different college), but I didnāt apply for finaid so Iām not sure what appeals look like outside of that
Will those of us waitlisted hear back anytime before august? I was waitlisted at UMiami and they said I will hear back by June 15th, but my counselor at Lehigh said there is no timeline. I would really appreciate hearing back from them before itās summer, anyone have any ideas?
