in my letter they said they hope to use it in april and may
does it say that under your admissions decision? Right now I can only see that i have accepted my place on their waitlist, I can’t see the original letter anymore
I remember reading that on my actual letter, but it no longer says that now that Ive accepted my place on the waitlist
Hello this might be an extremely dumb question but I am genuinely interested: Does being admitted to the College of Arts & Sciences mean I am admitted to my major? My letter says nothing about the major I applied for (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) and I am wondering if that is the same for everyone? Do we have to apply for our majors later or will we be into our majors if we want them?
pretty sure youre just admitted to the college and even then lehigh is super flexible with switching colleges (its like their ‘thing’ so to speak)
Maybe it does not matter as many college has a process called “declare major” at the end of freshman year.
Thank you. My daughter was just accepted - did you fill out a card because you have a junior and wanted to show interest or is there some other reason to do so? Thanks!
Fellow alumna here; same situation with my son last year. I’ve noticed far fewer of my classmates are sending their own kids to Lehigh. It’s ironic because my DS is now at a university close to Lehigh’s size that offers scholarships for children of alumni. Lehigh seems to want to avoid having so many legacy students.
The first national report on colleges and universities with room on the waitlist comes out in May. Lehigh will be working hard to place kids between now and May, and then again afterwards. Last year they went deep into the waitlist.
They must be peer schools; otherwise Lehigh won’t respond. BTDT.
Stay in touch with them. Lehigh may go to its waitlist. If you do not need any aid, that is a huge advantage.
Would Northeastern be considered a peer school (similar rank, both privates)? Asking because I received a very fair offer from them.
If you are high on the waitlist and they have a lot of declines, you will definitely hear back sooner.
Hope it went well for you.
Yes, Northeastern has been a peer / overlap school in the past. Good luck!
Cool, thanks.
My D got rejected by NEU but admitted to Lehigh with scholarship. The admission criteria is hard to understand.
Yeah admissions is bizarre, especially at competitive schools this year. NEU is very stats-heavy, so perhaps that was a reason. Either way, congrats on her acceptance to Lehigh!
My D is for Accounting major too. If the final financial aid packages (merit + need) are good, she will come.
She just set up the go.lehigh.edu/lehighportal account, but now she cannot log in.
How was your meeting?
