I am torn between lehigh and johns hopkins. Both schools are great, but I am not sure of which would be a better choice. I plan to study mechanical engineering. If I went to hopkins, I would be able to wrestle on their team as they are D3, while lehigh is D1. However, I am worried about the social scene at Johns Hopkins and realize Lehigh might be a better overall expierence. Any input would help, thanks.

Hopkins has a wonderful social scene. It is what you make of it. If you are going to be on a sports team, you will have immediate friendships. Hopkins sports teams are a tightly knit bunch of very supportive, fun, and smart kids. Although Lehigh is a wonderful school, academically, and in terms of pure prestiege, there is no comparison between Hopkins and Lehigh. In my opinion, go for Hopkins. You were so lucky to get in. Don't pass up this great opportunity.

I say go to Hopkins. And judging from your name i'm assuming you go to chs?

Hopkins.

My friend who graduated last year goes there. If you're not hard-core pre-med you can have a good time. There's alot to do in Baltimore and it's close to Wash D.C.

The Johns Hopkins name will be a big help for jobs and grad school. Off the east coast, people may not have heard of Lehigh.

I had to choose between Lehigh or JHU last year. Go to JHU. You won't regret it. Don't worry about the social scene, especially if you're going to be on a sports team.

Take Johns Hopkins. I got the impression that Lehigh is a dreary environment from one their graduates...
