Reflection

Strengths: EC’s, essays, recs, rigor, test scores, legacy, tons and tons of interest
Weaknesses: UW GPA
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: My GPA was a little low but I had really solid EC’s, phenomenal essays, toughest possible courseload pretty much, and I was a legacy going ED 1. It was all easily enough to overcome the gpa. Lehigh really cares about interest and rigor.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted Tulane with 20k a year, Case Western Reserve with 20k a year, Rutgers University. Deferred at Villanova.

General Comments: I’m pretty psyched and cant wait to attend!

It was sent last week and it says decisions will be available late next week

Why can’t they give an exact date?

Many schools do not provide an exact date because they are still reviewing applications until the end. Also, once the have completed them, they may have to review them with senior administrators. Any revisions from that discussion have to be made before releasing them. I think you could think of “Mar 25-30” as “Mar 30th or possibly sooner” if that is helpful.

The administration just wants to be sure that everything goes smoothly and there are no mistakes.

I have to agree with @Much2learn . There have been cases where large groups of applicants were accidentally sent acceptances instead of rejections/waitlists.

@“Sheel Patel” I understand how you feel. We have been through two college searches, and the waiting was the worst part. It seems like time stops.

D1 received one of the accidentally sent notes saying she was admitted to MIT. It is better to avoid that.

If it happens with your top choice, it can be difficult, especially if you posted it all over social media. Fortunately, MIT was her not her top choice so she did not share it with anyone. A couple of weeks later, she did get admitted to her top choice, so all ended well. :slight_smile:

What time will decisions come out
