I am stuck between Lehigh and UMD and can’t decide because I can’t visit. I got into the integrated business and engineering program at Lehigh and mechanical engineering and the college park scholars program at Maryland. I love the school spirit at Maryland and think Lehigh might not have enough of a sports environment. Could anyone give some perspective on social life at both schools? Cost is not a factor in the decision.
Lehigh offers an excellent mechanical engineering program, a similarly strong business program, and shares sports-team characteristics with other Patriot League schools. Unless you’re looking for an entirely different scale of school (as in UMD), Lehigh would seem to make an excellent choice for you.
seems that Lehigh has a ton of school spirit…UMD is much larger in size.
I would think you would get smaller classes at Lehigh and an easier time building relationships with professors. The integrated program grads are highly sought after.
