<p>Absolutely, NYU has many varsity and intramural sports you can take part. While it's not like Ohio St. and Miami, you can find a sports culture at NYU if you want (I played varsity soccer for 4 years at NYU). </p>
<p>Also, professional teams like the Yankees, Knicks, Giants, and Rangers are very popular, and sometimes you can get cheap tickets through NYU.</p>
<p>People do not go to NYU for sports. That said, i'm a huge pro-sports fan, and i'll probably be cheering on the yankees and mayyybe the knicks depending on who they're playing.</p>
<p>edit: oh...and jwblue, how cheap can tickets get if you use a student discount?</p>
