lenovo vs macbook?

My school gives free laptops for incoming freshmen so I have to choose between a Lenovo E430, Lenov T430, and the Macbook Pro. For the Lenovo, I'll have to pay $49 for the insurance but for the Macbook, I have to pay $400 for insurance and the Mac program. Which one should I get?

I would personally choose the t430 for $49

Btw the Lenovo E430 is basically the E series and the Lenovo T430 is just the T series…the 3’s just indicate the screen sze (13 in screen)…anyone else? I mean I like the facts that Macs rarely get viruses because I have a Dell right now and the viruses on it make it soo annoying

If you have viruses on your PC, you don’t have a good anti-virus program. Try AVG.

It’s not that hard to make viruses for Mac OS. The problem is that Mac OS is not as popular as Windows (Vista , 7 , etc) so writing viruses for Mac is not worth it for some people.

Does the Lenovo ThinkPad T430 have an Ivy Bridge processor ( 22nm fabrication process CPU by Intel)?

See if you can post the specs of all the machines here so we can tell you which one is a better deal.

These are the specs/info on the Lenovo T Series (T430):

bumppppppp

I would recommend the Mac since it’s cooler, and I am a Apple man. However, what you are studying and afford to pay for insurance does matter.

So, I would like to know, what are you studying and what can you afford to pay for insurance?

If you can get a ThinkPad T420 with the 14.0" HD+ (1600 x 900) screen that might be your best bet for the money.
