Lesson hours at Juilliard (MM)

<p>Hello, I'm wondering if someone here knows how many hours of private instruction Masters students get at Juilliard? I know I could write and ask admissions, but I would like to make my decision today, before I go overseas tomorrow. Is it just one hour weekly lesson? Or two? Or one private lesson and one 'group' lesson?</p>

<p>I remembered to ask at the other schools I applied to, but just realised I don't know the answer for Juilliard, and I've read my whole way through the student handbook with no luck in finding the answer.</p>

<p>I don’t know if it varies by instrument or not. My S gets one lesson per week, just like undergrad. Except that his teachers have always been willing to meet with him extra just prior to an audition, or recital. And “hour” is loosely defined.</p>

<p>His chamber music group gets an occasional lesson as well. And sometimes he requests additional lessons from other faculty (or other NYC people) - the faculty never charge. Some of the others do, some do not.</p>
