Lesson with Professor at IU During Visit?

I posted this somewhere else on site, but not sure if it ‘took’.

We are going to Indiana University on 2/17 to tour, and do the JMS admissions overview. My daughter has played piano for 10 years, taught students for 4 years. She is quite advanced (I think!), performs primarily classical, and is currently instructed by a piano professor at Kennesaw State University. She hasn’t decided on which music major, potentially performance.

QUESTION: is it a good idea to meet with a professor while we are there, and schedule a lesson ahead of time? It may not be enough lead-time, but can try. She is also applying to their summer piano program (received a scholarship to attend FSU’s piano institute last summer).

Thoughts/advice appreciated very much!!

Yes, it is always good to have a lesson with a professor while visiting!

yeah I think a lot of the profs there are open to sample lessons during a visit- I did.

Yes, my son had a sample lesson there before his audition.
