let me be the first to say "accepted"

It seems Jersee is getting rejections regular mail today.

lolz 2nd to get rejected yah it came in such a crappy envelope i knew i wasnt getting in lol

do most schools send admission offers in large envelopes or is that just a myth? Cornell's admit was business size, but now I'm nervous about the mail! We're upstate NY so there's no hope for today.

D got her acceptance last yr on a Friday. Large white priority envelope. I think they were also sent out on Wednesday, like this yr. My understanding is that Priority is usually "2-3 days." If your area has a well-staffed post office & system, than you might get it in 1 day, as the OP did, but even in-state is usually 2 days for Priority.

Not getting mail within the 2 days does not necessarily mean bad news. Priority mail is not guaranteed; I have mailed letters priority mail (with tracking) only 150 miles away and they have sometimes taken a week. So don't panic if you don't receive anything tomorrow!

OH EM GEE
Acceptance package in Mexico City today (at least according to Mom at home). That sounds a bit too early... might be a fraud... crosses fingers fervently that it's not In any case, I refuse to believe it until I see that package for myself.

Waitlisted today in NJ.

Were internationals overnighted?

i'll be joining you shortly ;)

ya, whats the deal with internationals. especially Canadians

Me too, most certainly.

Eeeeeps, all the numbers this year are terrifying.

I think Mexico and Canada are FedEx next day.

Last year they used DHL to further points like India and China.

Does waitlisted come in regular letter size envelopes?

Yes, for wait-lists it's business-size ("No. 10") envelopes: 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 inches.

An adcom I spoke with told me all international decisions were sent via FedEx.

Bgrill27 ~ Thanks for looking up Philadelphia mail times. I want to maintain hope that acceptance can still come! And tomorrow would be a good day for son to be accepted.

ohhh i'm so nervous. my friend just told me that they were RECIEVED today, and i didnt get anything..... :/....sooooo nervous. they should do it the harvard way and just send u an email at5:00. i live in central/north jersey!!! only 45 min from princeton. so im guessing it's not priority mail??! someone hellllppp. info would be greatly appreciated!!

Dear sinful,
Try to calm down. Delivery really depends on the availability of carriers & the volume of mail in your particular area -- as well as when the branch closest to you receives it from Princeton, NJ. Those variables can all affect arrival time.

I actually wish it were both e-mail & snail-mail. Penn does it that way, Yale does it that way for EA, & maybe for RD. It's nice to get it rapidly electronically & then have it verified on paper shortly thereafter.

I feel for all of you.
:-)

do they do anything online?

thanks epiphany. that makes me feel better. my friend got deferred and im not sure if she heard or not. :/. i guess a couple more days of waiting isnt going to kill me. after all, ive waited since january. a couple more days wont hurt.
