Same for me. It goes back to childhood. So, thrilled with the outcome last night!
If TCU loses, do they stay in the playoff? That question may prove moot, but right now that is the one every Alabama fan has top-of-mind.
At this point, I have simplified it down to wins and losses.
Even if TCU loses, they will be one of the four teams with 0 or 1 loss. Everyone else in the conversation has at least two losses. To me, at the end of the day, the record should be what counts most, provided you played a decent schedule in a top conference.
I don’t think TCU will lose, but TCU’s positioning would depend on how much they would lose by. And what the score differential would be the breaking point for the Committee? I don’t know.
I hope TCU, Georgia and Michigan win. And I hope the matchups would be:
1 Georgia vs 4 OSU
2 Michigan vs 3 TCU
As a Michigan fan, I don’t want to play OSU in the semi.
This Wolverine appreciates all the analysis going on here. Go TCU! Also this is the purple-ist game I’ve ever seen, lol.
I don’t want to see Mich/OSU in the semis either. They just played each other…
Get ready for a lot of red and gray with OSU/UGA
I’m watching the TCU-KSU game right now. There’s a lot of purple everywhere. But for the helmets, I’d had no idea which team is which until the announcers identified Max Dugan.
I just turned on that game. It was impossible to figure out which team was which.
Pretty exciting, this one.
Yes it is! OT for TCU & KS
Now, let’s GO DAWGS!!!
What a game!
There is a possibility of an all SEC Peach Bowl and all B1G Fiesta Bowl.
Shut your mouth, don’t even think about it!
As a Michigan fan, it would be our worst nightmare!
Although a second year facing Georgia wouldn’t be my favorite.
UGA is my team. Michigan is my other team (family connections). It was “interesting” last year when they played…I can’t say I want a repeat.
Just got back from the gym. So, what happened while I was gone?
Haha. Talk about some crazy plays!! I was hyperventilating… twice!
To be a fly on the wall in the committee room…
I think TCU should still be in – they suffered one tight loss. They walked a tightrope in several games this year, and this time they came out on the wrong end. But 1 loss is still an impressive feat.
Agreed. As of Nov 27 so it may have changed KSU had the #7 SOS. So a close loss to them doesn’t kill. TCU #18 but will go up. Ohio State #40 In fact the big 12 had 6 of the 7 toughest schedules.
It’s a data world. Gonna be TCU.
Well, with USC’s loss, Ohio State most likely is in. If TCU fell out of the top four, that would invite another team in, like Alabama.
