Let's ban "lol"

Lol needs to go.
So do rofl, lmao, and rofllmfaowlol.

They have just gotten too watered down in their effectiveness.

What should we replace them with?

On the way home today, I was actually thinking about this! I was wondering what exactly it would take to reestablish the effectiveness of lol to make it more than just a natural part of a conversation that evokes little to no response.

Lewl

10char

What else would you say? lq? (laughing quietly) that’s lame lol

^what does “lewl” mean?
^^and good I’m glad I’m not the only one.

lol this thread makes me roflmao.

lol yeah we definitely should replace it

I used to be anti-lol, so I just said haha. But now that I’ve adopted lol into my vocabulary…

It really doesn’t matter
But if you really don’t like it just say “haha”- effective enough

lol

you cant replace lol

^Lawl, yes you can.

XD ftw

10 char

tsfs (thats some funny s**t) aha thatd be weird

Let’s not.

Don’t hate on the lol… LolOlolOlolOlolO…

I used to be anti-lol, but I resigned myself to not care a few years ago.
It’s very simple, and is universally recognized by any english speaker in our generation, and many in the previous generation.
Face it, it might as well be added to the dictionary at this point (and probably will some time in the future, when our generation decides what goes in the dictionary).
