Are there "bad", "mediocre" or "horrible" colleges?

Yes. I know of a few state schools in my state that are so watered-down and grade-inflated it’s not even funny.

Yes but it’s subjective

Yup, community colleges.

Eastern Michigan University

I’m putting it in the mediocre category.

I disagree. Community colleges are actually pretty good. You may wish to call some students or some classes there bad, but I wouldn’t generalize like this.

Also, I suppose it depends on what you mean. I don’t hold Liberty University in high regard, nor is the University of Phoenix well respected.

Some for-profit degree mills like University of Phoenix, ITT Technical, DeVry, Kaplan University, and Strayer University.

Any college with a 100% acceptance rate. That’s fail. Like AeroEngineer3141 said, the colleges that basically sell you a degree for cheap.

^ or they sell a degree at exorbitant rates

I’m not saying comm. colleges are downright horrible. But they are mediocre. At least the ones near me… I know a girl who took classes there, and she said they were a joke.

yes. the college that i went to on my year off had graduate courses that would literally only cover one chapter of a differential equations textbook. my fellow grad students had to look up the quadratic formula on the internet. it was truly sad.

btw, this class was called “intro to chaos” and was a 6000 level class. i think most high school kids at my school could have taken it and gotten an A.

Qwerty, what about MSU? Hahaha, go blue!
